We’re back with a brand new Curfew Cast, this time around we’re presenting a mix by the one and only DJ Push Play. You can catch the man on the ones and twos at our next monthly party, Beat Tape, in downtown Los Angeles. Sit back and relax, grab a beer because this mix is a perfect match for the upcoming warm Summer days. Enjoy!
John Felix Arnold III has been traveling Japan, absorbing the vibrant culture, and working on a show that is set to open today! The photos look amazing and we are excited to get a nice colorful recap upon his return. If you happen to be in Ebisu, Tokyo tonight go check him and Koutaro Ooyama’s collaborative exhibition!
Daylight Curfew and SVP present: Bisco Smith & Bq:Ram – Atlantic Sky. A free record for you and yours! This project was crafted between New York, LA, and Italy. Inspired and scripted while overseas, it is our great pleasure to pass the energy your way. All we ask is if you like the record, please post it, share it, dub it, burn it, tell a friend and help us spread the good word!
Our friends over at Okayfuture just premiered the first track off of Dfalt’s upcoming debut full length, Helsinki Beat Tape (Part One) out June 11th on Daylight Curfew. The track is available as a free download and gives you a better idea as to what to expect from the HBT series. Be sure to pick up a copy on limited signed/numbered cassette before they’re gone (only 100 will be available).
Welcome to Volume 22 of the Curfew Cast collection. This time around Los Angeles by way of New York beat maker, badtouch, served up a 50 minute mix of original instrumentals, tracks, and remixes for your listening pleasure. On May 5th badtouch will be with the Daylight Curfew crew performing a live beat set and our monthly ‘Beat Tape’ Party.
Today the folks over at Vibe Magazine premiered the new single from Cassettes Won’t Listen titled “Transmission”. They also let the word out that his new record is set to be released July 16th on Daylight Curfew. The album, titled CWL, is his first full length since 2011′s Evinspacey. We can’t give away too much information yet but we’d say it’s safe to start practicing some of those new dance moves you’ve been wanting to test out. More info soon, for now check out “Transmission” and cop it over at iTunes.
