Sia has a seasoned songwriting career, her first venture was co-writing three songs for Christina Aguilera's Bionic in 2009. Later in 2010, Sia also co-wrote "Bound to You" for the soundtrack of the film Burlesque, which starred Aguilera and Cher. The song was nominated for Best Original Song at the 68th Golden Globe Awards. She gained worldwide mainstream recognition when she wrote the song "Titanium" for David Guetta, who included Sia's original demo vocals on the song and released it as a single in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, Sia co-wrote songs with many artists, including Beyonce, Flo Rida, Britney Spears, and Rihanna. In 2014 Sia was once again nominated for Best Original Song at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards, this time for helping write the song "Opportunity" for the film Annie.
In 2014, Sia released her sixth studio album, 1000 Forms of Fear, which was preceded by the top-ten single "Chandelier". At the 57th Grammy Awards, Sia received four nominations for "Chandelier". She is currently working on her seventh studio album This Is Acting.
Freedia has been featured in publications such as The Village Voice and The New York Times, and has performed on Last Call with Carson Daly, Kimmy Kimmel Live!, and at SXSW. In 2011 she was named Best Emerging Artist and Best Hip-Hop/Rap Artist in January's "Best of the Beat Awards," and was nominated for the 22nd GLAAD Media Awards. In 2013, Freedia got her own reality show on Fuse which chronicles her growing mainstream attention and life back in New Orleans. On July 7th 2015, she released her autobiography "God Save The Queen Diva".
