INTERVIEW: Jenkins2d (Artist Print Series)

We recently sat down to talk with Daylight Curfew Artist Print Series illustrator/designer/artist, Jenkins2d, about inspiration, music, and the future. Grab his latest addition to the print series in the store.
What are you currently working on?
Right now I'm doing a super cool ladies collection with The Burning Artist Collective clothing line. Outlandish Apparel is about to put out two zines; One being volume II of their official zine. The second one is a collab with Hipster Scumbag (Seain Willingham) that we call DANGEREUX, an erotica series. Also just finished some Wakeboards with Resyn Wakeskates.
Tell us about your process from inspiration to execution?
Inspiration hits whenever it wants to, so I'm either lucky enough to have my sketchbook on me or I'll have to log some details in my phone. I revisit a lot of my old work too. When it comes to execution I welcome happy accidents, but it's usually the perfectionist inside that pulls through. I won't do anything if I don't believe in it.
What have you been listening to lately?
Toro Y Moi, A Tribe Called Quest, Beach Fossils, Cloud Nothings, or my friend Jamesy who plays guitar on the balcony.
School vs. Self Taught?
Both, self taught over school though.
If your work had a soundtrack, what would it be and why?
Graduation by Kanye West. It's the most motivational album ever.
What do you want people to take away from your work when they see it?
Whatever they want to, it isn't up to me. If it were though, I hope it's fun, nostalgic, heart warming, and eye opening.
What does the future hold for you?
Ideally; Kanye Album cover, toys with Kidrobot, and I've always dreamed of having a boombox backpack .
Where can we find you?
Currently floating around in central Texas, but hopefully I'll get to go all over the universe.
