Last night was the opening of the new Ron English show at Post No Bills, the new Venice, CA gallery owned by legendary art dealer Steve Lazarides (Banksy, Blu, Conor Harrington, etc.).  The night showcased brand new prints, drawings, sculpture, and toys by Ron and drew quite the hip Abbot Kinney crowd.  The free beer and wine was flowing, the cash registers ringing, and Ron was there politely posing for pictures and signing autographs for fans.

The new work was classic Ron English-style commentary towards consumerism and pop culture and couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s great to see him continue his vision and belief in exposing the broken parts of our society and given the latest protests across the nation, his artistic voice is sure to be heard.
